Wildcat Solid Waste Management District is your resource for recycling, composting, and household hazardous waste disposal in Clinton County Indiana. Our mission is to educate local residents on how to properly dispose of household waste in an effort to protect groundwater, conserve our natural resources, and preserve our landfills.

Indiana Solid Waste Districts were formed in accordance with Indiana House bill 1240 which was signed into law in March of 1990. This law mandated the development of 20 year solid waste management plans and called for counties to take advantage of regional planning and management. Clinton and Tippecanoe counties joined to form Wildcat Creek Solid Waste District. After 20 years of working together the two counties went on to form two separate districts. Clinton County formed their new District on March 1st, 2012, under the name Wild Cat Solid Waste District.

This is a positive change for Clinton County as we can now offer a full time hazardous waste drop off. This change also allows us to better focus our efforts toward education and here locally.
