Rossville

Due to our building needs and revenue loss, the Town of Rossville has chosen to close the community recycling facility effective December 31, 2017. The Town will provide curbside recycling to residential customers only within the corporation limits of Rossville. Beginning February 1, 2018, the trash portion of your utility bill will increase to $11.50 per month.

Curbside recycling will begin January 10, 2018. Pick up will be the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Your recyclables will need to be out for pick up no later than 7:00 a.m. Place them where your trash is normally picked up. Please have your recyclables bagged in a clear plastic bag or covered garbage can. No regular trash will be picked up on this day. Don’t leave loose items on the curb as they will blow. All items can be combined in the same receptacle. They do not need to be separated. No electronics, styrofoam, yard waste, construction materials, liquids, appliances, dirt, rocks, cement, burnt ash, burn barrels, tires, batteries, or medical waste. Unacceptable items will be left.

Items that are accepted include:

Clear, brown, and green glass jars and bottles
All solid plastics (rinsed out) that that have a number from 1-7 inside the triangle imprinted on the container
All tin and steel cans (rinsed out)
Aluminum pop cans and beer cans
Newspaper, paper, magazines, and cardboard (please flatten)
If you are a Rossville business and would be interested in recycling, please contact Clinton County Disposal at (765) 379-2292.

COMPOST PROGRAM
The compost areas located at the Town Park are for use exclusively by residents located within the Town limits. This does not include individuals located in the County and have a Rossville mailing address. Any yard waste, such as leaves, tree limbs, and grass clippings should be taken to the Park. The compost area is located on the south end of the Town Park.
Easy access to the compost area is off N. East St at E. Ramey St. One area is for tree limbs, sticks, and bushes. The other area is for leaves, old flowers, straw, and grass clippings.

Please empty the containers or bags you have brought your items in and take the containers or bags home with you. We will not accept any trash, carpet, furniture, or building materials such as roofing, concrete, or lumber at this location. Professional landscapers and tree trimmers are not allowed to use this site.
