microwaveradio20121213_114858Bring used or broken electronic items to Wildcat Solid Waste District for no charge. Materials are sent through a state registered electronics recycler in Indiana where they are disassembled  sorted into leaded glass, plastic, motherboard and cable components. The metals are sent back to smelters to be reclaimed and the plastic is recycled, while the leaded glass is sent to be smelted into new lead glass.

You can also bring computers and related components to all Goodwill locations. Usable items will be resold, and non-working items disassembled and recycled.

Wildcat Solid Waste district does not accept Freon containing appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers. These items must be disposed of through a licensed refrigerant handler.
