toxicPesticides & Poison

Pesticides, herbicides, and lawn fertilizers can be brought to Wild Cat Solid Waste District. These materials are toxic and should be placed in a cardboard box or plastic tote riding upright.  Please do not transport pesticides in a garbage bag as they have a tendency tip over and spill during transport. This also makes it difficult for staff as all materials must be hand sorted.

Since there is no way to treat pesticides to make them non-toxic, pesticides are sent to a federally approved hazardous waste incinerator for disposal.

Please contact your local disposal or recycling center before handling of this material.
