All types of fire extinguishers can be brought to Wild Cat Solid Waste District for recycling. There are many different types of fire extinguishers. Newer extinguishers are generally dry chemical or CO2. Older types include soda acid, halon, and carbon tetrachloride.
Fire extinguishers with metal valves can be tested and recharged while other types are sent for recycling. Call for a list of venders who can recharge your old extinguisher (765) 659-4257.
